Guests at our Anchorage Hillside bed and breakfasts enjoy great views and a “get-away-from-it-all” feel while right in the city.
While we have divided Anchorage into different sections, it is important to note that everything is close within Anchorage. Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city and has all the amenities of living in a city, yet it is a city where it is easy to get from one place to another within 20 minutes by car.
In the quiet Chugach Mountain Foothills is Flattop Mountain. This popular area is great for hiking trails among alpine wildflowers, browsing moose, soaring eagles, and
a glimpse of Mt. McKinley. The Alaska Zoo is home for over 40 species of injured, orphaned or endangered Alaskan birds and animals of the Arctic and Sub-arctic. Hilltop Ski Area is great for day or night skiing, snowboarding and horseback riding on the trails in the summer. O’ Malley’s on the Green is an 18-hole golf course, with lodge and pro shop. |
