Breakfast, the Second “B”

Breakfast may be represented by the second “B”, but in the hearts and minds of many guests, it takes first place.  And our B&Bs develop reputations based on beautiful presentation of tasty good food and Alaska-centric recipes.
The Anchorage Alaska B & B Association is sharing recipes at its January meeting, and you get a sneak preview.
This one was submitted by Dee Memoune of Alaska House of Jade in Anchorage AK:
Amaretto Fruit Dip
Serves 24 to 36

Created by Dee Memoune

Utensils Mixing bowl and a wire whisk
Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
2 cups vanilla or plain yogurt
3/4 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 to 3 tsp Amaretto liqueur or your favorite liqueur
Instructions Whip all the ingredients with a wire whip. Do not blend in the blender.
Taste and add more Amaretto or cinnamon to your preference.
Thin with a little half and half if necessary after a few days in the frig.
Serving Suggestions
Serve chilled over fresh fruit.
The Story I first tasted this at another B&B and loved it so much I went home and perfected my own
recipe. Guests love it. This will last in the refridgerator for up to two weeks (if it lasts that long).
